Mr. Chaiken joined the firm in January 2007 and focuses his areas of practice in business bankruptcy, reorganization and commercial litigation. Mr. Chaiken is a 1997 graduate of the University of Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2000 cum laude. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chaiken served as the general counsel for a telecommunications company in South Florida with annual revenues exceeding $150 million. Mr. Chaiken successfully assisted the company through a lengthy chapter 11 which resulted in a confirmed plan of reorganization. On behalf of the company, Mr. Chaiken recovered more than $2 million in past due amounts and secured more than $100,000 in recurring monthly revenues.
